JEFFREY CONNOR

As Chief Operating Officer at NRECA, Jeffrey Connor leads strategy development and direction for the national organization charged with representing the interests of America’s Electric Cooperatives.

Jeffrey joined NRECA in 2013 with a background in public policy, communications and coalitions earned in a variety of leadership roles in the U.S. Congress. Jeffrey served as Chief of Staff and Communications Director in two congressional offices, as well as in a key role for the Committee on Appropriations in the U.S. House of Representatives. In addition, he was responsible for a number of bipartisan coalition-building efforts to support legislative and policy initiatives.

Jeffrey also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the National Cooperative Business Association/CLUSA International (NCBA CLUSA), the national association responsible for developing and advancing cooperative enterprise. He holds positions on the boards of the Cooperative Development Foundation, the Consumer Federation of America, NRECA Research, NRECA United, and Homestead Advisers, Inc.

A native Nebraskan, Jeffrey graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. He lives in Northern Virginia with his spouse and two children.
